Trait Development Programs
Dharma Life’s research on personality traits reveals that traits naturally fall under two categories.
- Primary traits: Having an unbalanced primary trait hinders an employee from achieving your HR metrics. A primary trait can be like the following; empathy, trust, sensitivity, perfectionism, and nervousness. If empathy is a primary unbalanced trait (having either too much or too little of empathy) the Dharma Life programs can help achieve a balance.
- Success Traits: These traits accelerate the employee in achieving your HR metrics. Success traits include creativity, passion, openness, risk taking, sociability, and networking. Typically the more developed these traits are in an employee (within reasonable limits) the better for your organization. The Dharma Success program develops success traits.
Based on the business goals and the employee role, and the employee themselves, one or more of the personality traits need to be developed.
- Primary traits need to be balanced independent of the HR metric and the role of the employee.. However each employee will typically have a different primary trait that needs to be balanced. Each individual typically has only one primary trait and when that trait is balanced, the employee performance improves.
- Success Traits that need to be developed depend mostly on the goals of your organization and the role of the employee within the organization. If the goal of the organization is to enter into new markets then openness and risk taking becomes most important. If on the other hand the goal is to grow in the current market then creativity and passion become more important. It is not necessary to develop every success trait in all employees.
Using a combination of primary and success trait development programs together with the existing Learning Development programs Dharma Life and its partners enhance the ability to achieve your organizational goals. Dharma Life's Trait Development Programs are implemented through workshops, mentoring, and software apps. The desired business goals are achieved through a combination of trait development programs.
